Una Flor Extranjera
Where Grief Meets Beauty and Transformation Begins
About The Collection
When I moved to Asturias during the pandemic, I knew very little of the language and even less about the people. In my first week, I had just lost my brother, and a few months later I suffered a serious lung condition.
My world changed completely, not only because of an international move, but also because of the pain. Discovering the beauty of this natural paradise, its people, and reconnecting with my art gave me back my life and helped me heal.
This collection is an ode to the place that became my refuge during one of the darkest periods of my life.
“Una Flor Extranjera”
Explores the experience of arriving in a new place while carrying grief, and how environment shapes the slow work of becoming. Through landscapes, color, and material, the pieces trace the rhythm of death and renewal that I rediscovered in Asturias.
